Transylians are an extraterrestrial species of Frankenstein's Monster-like humanoids from the planet Anur Transyl.[merch 1]

Appearance[]

Transylians are a human-like species which resemble Frankenstein's monster. They are made of several different body parts sewn together, as well as various electrical generating equipment and life support technology. Most Transylians have two tower-shaped conductor coil-like generators on their back, though these are not machines. Rather, these generators are metallic-organic growths.[pop-up 1][1]

Young Transylians like Viktoria don't have giant conductors on their backs.

History[]

Long ago, Anur Transyl used to be the home of two different races: the Transylians and the Vladats. The Transylians were used by the Vladats as their slave labor and main source of food,[2][3] until the other Anur aliens rebelled against the Vladats,[DJW 1] with the Transylians in particular using captured Pyronite energy.[pop-up 2][4] to incinerate and kill them.[DJW 2]

Though they hunted all Vladats on Anur Transyl into utter extinction and became the dominant species on Anur Transyl, Transylians were eventually enslaved by the Ectonurites.

At some point, Transylians learned how to harness the lightning from Anur Transyl's giant storms with their own electric powers.[pop-up 3][1]

Behavior[]

Depending on the individual, Transylians have a myriad of personalities. However, they commonly share a hatred of Vladats, due to being enslaved by them and used ultimately as food in the past.[2][3]

Transylians are not too friendly towards other-worlders outside the Anur System and view them as monsters.[5]

Transylians view anything hideously ugly as attractive.[6][7]

Powers and Abilities[]

Transylians have electromagnetic bodies with two conductor coils on their backs that allow them to generate and manipulate lightning and electromagnetism.[1] Transylians can conduct electricity generated by their metallic conductor coils throughout their entire bodies. Using this ability, Transylians can conduct electricity through their fists to give their attacks extra damage,[8] though they are unable to absorb or conduct electricity from external sources.[DJW 3]

Transylians can emit their lightning in the form of waves that can travel along flat surfaces.[9] Transylians can also shoot massive concentrated beams of electricity.[10]

Transylians possess enhanced strength, as Frankenstrike he was able to punch through a Techadon robot and knock its arm off.[11] Lightning Volt was also strong enough to carry an Appoplexian over his shoulders.[12]

Transylians possess enhanced durability, as Frankenstrike was durable enough to withstand being blasted by one of Phil's electric blasts. Transylians also have enhanced reflexes, as Frankenstrike was able to dodge the same blasts easily.[8]

Transylians have enhanced jumping, as shown when Frankenstrike was able to jump and hold onto a high ladder when waiting to ambush Phil.[8]

Transylians are quite fast, as demonstrated when Lightning Volt was able to keep up with Rath.[12]

Transylians can survive in the vacuum of space.[1]

Transylians are immune to the effects of Corrodium[merch 1] and can see in the dark.[DJW 4]

Transylians are resistant against extreme heat, as demonstrated by Viktor.[13] Transylians are also resistant to strong winds, as demonstrated when Frankenstrike was able to hold onto a space shuttle when Viktor opened up a portal to the Null Void.

Transylians can emit magnetism from their hands or their feet, allowing them to attach to metal structures.[1]

Transylians possess technokinesis, as Viktor was able to control cables with his mind. Transylians can also merge with technology, as demonstrated when Viktor plugged the aforementioned cables into himself.[4][1]

Weaknesses[]

The two generators on a Transylian's shoulders are the source of their electricity, which means opponents like Phil can absorb their electricity through them.[8]

Most Transylians are unable to fit through small or tight spaces.[10][9]

Transylians can be harmed by external electricity, as shown when Frankenstrike blasted Viktor with a charge strong enough to send him flying into a Null Void portal.[1] Rook and Scout also used tasers to incapacitate Viktor.[5]

Transylians can be controlled and hypnotized by Vladats via their Corrupturas, as demonstrated by Viktor and many other Transylian residents of Anur Transyl.[14] Transylians are also vulnerable to being possessed by an Ectonurite, as demonstrated with Viktor.[1]

Transylians can be frozen in ice, as demonstrated by Viktor.[13]

Transylians can easily be scared by Toepick's species.[DJW 5]

Notable Transylian Hybrids[]

Etymology[]

The name Transylian is a play on Transylvania.

Trivia[]

  • Similar to how humans have organ donors, Transylians can have their limbs replaced with those from another member of their species, but is much easier with no tissue rejection.[DJW 7]
  • Originally, Transylians were the second smartest species in the universe.[pop-up 2][4] This was retconned in Omniverse.[DJW 8]
  • The civilians on Anur Transyl were designed by Thomas Perkins.
  • Thomas believes that Transylians are capable of absorbing electricity.[TP 1]
  • Thomas believes that the generators on Transylians' backs are the product of some sort of nanite symbiosis.[TP 2]
