I much prefer his Alien Force look over the prototype of Chromastone, maybe if they mixed it it with the old look then it would be better.
I'm a HUGE Jetray fan, and I like Fastrack and ChamAlien. If they do appere (which I think is 0 to none) I guess the Omniverse team will ruin their design to drop their fanbase, cause they don't like them themselfs (well I hope not, anyway)
As for Jetray , Fastrack and ChamAlien, Jetray was fine but way overused i don't get Derrick's hate for it but i can understand you missing him, but Fastrack and ChamAlien were absolutely the worst offenders in terms of bad and lazy design in UA, Fastrack can literally be described as XLR8 minus everything that makes him compelling and the weird small wolverine design doesn't work with the fast alien theme at all, so is Chamalien, he actually had an unique power that wasn't present in Ben's existing roster (which to me is the only reason why they could bring him back) but they got so lazy in his concept, he is just a grey lizard with a helmet and that's it.
i hope you don't take the response personal or anything is just my side of the discussion, i don't hate AF and UA but i just feel they are way overrated and kinda missed the point of the original series, OV also has its problems but IMO is a step in the right direction but i can understand people not liking it
I have no problem with Bloxx, but you have to admit his design is lazy. I also have no problem with Pesky Dust and Gravitack, but I LOVE Ball Weevil
I understand you're trying to make the point that omniverse's designs are lazier than UA's, but comparing Fast Feline+Lizard > Grass Hopper+Fish is like saying "At least before we got bread and butter. Now we have bread and jam." It makes no sense because, what's the real superiority (in design) of a fast feline and a lizard over a grass hopper, a lego gorilla and a fish?
Anyway, I just mentioned that because I found it funny. But now to the opinion: I think both series have not "lazy design", but "less inspired portrayal" instead.
For example, UA gave us a badass radioactive-energy monser inside a containment suit, a giant hydraulic armodillo of awesomeness, an improved version of the living amplifier that Echo Echo was, and a bunch of other awesome things. However, it also gave us that fast feline you're talking about, it gave us a recolored Big Chill and Cannonbolt, and it gave us a giant wind turtle. Yes Terraspin is bucking awesome, but in design it is still a giant turtle. And Chamalien has cool powers and I love that for once one of ben's aliens does not have fully green eyes (and sadly Wyatt wants to take that back from us), but it's body could use some more development.
On the other hand, Omniverse sure gave us a tiny planet of gravitational destruction, a nightmarish ogre that not even Celestialsapiens (Gods!) can look at, a guy who is able to absorb whatever energy beam you throw at him and trow it back with even more power, etc. BUT, it also gave us a human-sized grass hopper, a yeti...electricity....thing, a gorilla made out of legos and other things. Yes, just as it happens with Terraspin, I think Bloxx is awesome but his design doesn't get any less ridicule because of that.
My point being, the fact something is ridicule per-definition doesn't mean it cannot be the most awesome thing ever when you see it moving and you observe its whole potential. For that matter, Fasttrack could have been even cooler than XLR8 (yes, you read right), but it was portrayed as something worse than XLR8, thus, being worse than the last one if we compare them. That's what I meant with Bloxx and Terraspin: they are as stupid as they get (Blocks-made gorilla? Wind turtle? What?!?), but they are shown to us in the most awesome way and therefore we can effectively say they're awesome.
If you're not yet convinced (and you actually have no reason to, but anyway), take an example from the original show: Ghostfreak is.... well, a ghost. There's not too much of a "creative design" if we think about it. Man of action just thought "hey, let's take a ghost and say it is an alien! GENIUS" and well, it is, but not because of the actual concept behind the alien design's, but because on screen, Ghostfreak scares the heck out of everyone: is creepy, is powerful, is badass. It has an excuse to be an alien because they defined a good backstory for his species and a concept of "beings that exist in a way different of what we understand by life".
And the biggest and latest of all my ANYWAYS: this discussion has got terribly off topic. New Swampfire is already a thing, the episode has aired. Period. As an user suggested at some point here (you can find that comment if you roll up the page), is better to move on. If you need to argue about omniverse and UA's lazy desings, isn't it better to make a new topic? Just saying...
I understand you opinion, but I felt you were going on that I was wrong about my opinion, Besides. I have no problem with some OV aliens (Ball Weevil, Pesky Dust and Gravitack

I don't think is even possible to be wrong when it comes to opinions. Anyhow, I don't think you're wrong in your opinion, I just found funny your comparison between UA and OV desings.
The rest of my LOOOONG comment is more about what I think is the real deal with that so called "lazyness" than making your opinion look wrong (if that were the actual intention, which it isn't).
Anyway, I agree with the last you wrote: Ball Weevil, Pesky Dust and Gravattack are cool :3

I think (my opinion) AF came up with loads of creative designs (Rath.. nah, its a cat), then the origanal series, then I'm finding it hard to choose between OV And UA
Everyone, PLEASE stop requoting that extremely long quote. It's only getting longer, and I don't think anyone is reading it anymore.
geez guys i know the first post was long but you don't need to quote me every time you want to add an argument to the discussion
I know but your quote was included in the other quote, so it wasn't on purpose.
Anyway you're all right, this has got terribly off topic.
