Scrutins are beasts found within Ledgerdomain. They are roughly 3 foot long, seemingly made of stone, shaped like a diamond with one tip replaced by a single purple eye and have wings. They are able to shoot beams of mana from their eye and travel in large swarms, making them a major threat to anyone visible. They are known to the inhabitants of Legerdomain as "the eyes and ears of Adwaita" despite, as noted by Kevin, appearing to have no ears.

Their name is a contraction of the word "scrutinise", meaning "to examine closely".
