Appearance[]
Kai has long, dark hair, brown eyes, and tan skin. She wears a red and brown jumpsuit. She wears a belt with pouches as well as pouches on the side of her thighs.

Kai maintains much of her personality from her younger days. She appears to be more active in Ben's heroic life, as well as more loving towards him. She displays a motherly and loving attitude towards Ken.
History[]
Background[]
Sometime between Omniverse and the future, Kai married Ben 10,000 and had a son, Ken Tennyson and a daughter, Gwendolyn Tennyson.[DJW 2]
Omniverse[]
Kai first appeared in Fight at the Museum, where she found the Orb of Pumapunku in Ben 10,000's tower that she had thought was lost forever.
In The End of an Era, Kai helped Humungoopsaur fight Dr. Animo, and later took part in the battle against Maltruant.

Trivia[]
- Although Kai frequently helps out the Plumbers, she is not officially a Plumber. Therefore, she can go on her own adventures.[DJW 1]
- In the Original Future Timeline, Kai Tennyson missed Ken's 10th birthday due to being on a diplomatic mission in the Shadow Realm.[pop-up 3][9]
- The idea of Kai being Ben 10,000's wife was a concept from the Original Series conceived by Thomas Perkins because, during that series, present-day Kai was Ben's only crush as far as Thomas can recall.[TP 1]
Notes[]
- ↑ The Ben 10,000 from Omniverse is stated to be Ben Prime's true future self.[DJW 3]
- This is evidenced in-show by the fact that both the Ben 10,000[2][3] and the future Dr. Animo[4] from Omniverse recalled characters and events from the present day. Chrono-Spanner also frequently visits present day with effects of his actions manifest in his present.[5] This would not be possible if these characters belonged to an alternate timeline.
- This was due to the crew's preference of the original Ben 10,000 over the Ultimate Alien portrayal,[DJW 5] as well as executives wanting everything to be more like the Original Series.[DJW 4]
- Derrick J. Wyatt made several statements to corroborate the story, expanding on what is known from the Original Series, such as the backstory for the Biomnitrix invoking the plotline of Ben 10,000,[DJW 6] and the defining tragedy in Ben 10,000's life having now occurred at the age of 20,[DJW 7] "shifted" from the original age of 15.[pop-up 1][6]
- The writing of the show also indicated this viewpoint, with Ben identifying the future Dr. Animo from Animo Crackers to be the same as the one he encountered in Ben 10,000, and other efforts made throughout the last few seasons to align the story with the future timeline.
- Derrick responded to the matter by saying: "Your 'plot holes' are irrelevant. Time isn't completely fixed, it's shifting. Events can be subtly altered. But Ben 10,000 is the future for the Ben Prime timeline."[DJW 3] This can be interpreted as a retcon. This wiki, however, considers the two Ben 10,000s, and by extension, the two futures, separate.
