– Frankenstrike's first words.[1] |
Frankenstrike, formerly known as Benvicktor or Ben Victor,[merch 1] is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Transylian from the planet Anur Transyl in the Anur System.[merch 1]
Appearance[]
Ben as Frankenstrike[]
Frankenstrike has an appearance similar to the classic depiction by Boris Karloff of Victor Frankenstein's monster. He closely resembles an approximately seven-foot-tall[TP 1] muscular human male, with four fingers on each hand and black hair with sideburns. Most of his skin is a dull, greyish yellow; however, some areas on his body have a different skin tone, which are separated by scars and what resembles sutures, as if his body parts were sewn together. He wears metal gauntlets that end in fingerless gloves; metallic boots with grills on them; and dark, shiny pants with ribs that dip in a V-shape. He has many bolts that resemble flathead screws in places all over his upper body; and he has two large tower-shaped, conductor coil-like generators located on his upper back; though these are metallic-organic growths and not actually machines.[pop-up 2][1]
In the Original Series, Frankenstrike had a long mullet hairstyle with bangs, and his sideburns stretched outwards into a single point on each side. His second tone of skin was lighter, and stretched from his forearms up to his upper arm and shoulder, on his left and right arms, respectively. He had 4 bolts on his back, 3 on his chest, and 2 on each of his trapezius muscles; all of which were dark grey with a flat, black tip and a green line across it. His gauntlets and conductors were brown; his pants were black, and the slits in his boots were green. He wore a belt with a white line running around it, and the original Omnitrix symbol in the middle, like a belt clasp.
In Ultimate Alien, Frankenstrike looked mostly the same, with a few notable differences. His skin had a much more natural color, and did not differ in tone despite having the exact same scars. While his pants remained black, his gauntlets; conductors; belt; bolts; and boots were all completely recolored grey and silver. The slits of his boots were black. The Ultimatrix symbol was located on his chest, replacing the top bolt in the grouping of 3 on his chest.
In Omniverse, Frankenstrike's hair is cut much shorter, though his sideburns have increased in length in a mutton chops-style. His two-toned skin returns, the second tone now being a more withered dark grey. Patches of it are located on his entire left shoulder and left pectoral; his entire right forearm; the top of his right shoulder; one spot on the middle-right of his back; and nearly completely covering his neck and face, save for some of the right side of his face. Suturing connects all the patches, as well as a circular "cut" around his cranium. Frankenstrike's bolts are now much larger and stumpier; they are a copper color, with green lines stretching across and off the tips. There are now 3 bolts on his back; 6 for each side of his neck, shoulder, and elbow; and one on his belt, where the Omnitrix used to be. His conductors have moved up more from his back and cover his trapezius muscles. They are now a deep green, with white coils and light green bulbs at the tips. His belt and gauntlets are green, with small screws appearing along their white stripe and knuckles, respectively. His pants are very dark green and his boots are copper with light green slits. Frankenstrike's teeth are now yellowed and uneven, and bear out. The Omnitrix symbol is embedded in the flesh of his right pectoral, with several deep scars protruding from where it resides.
Benzarro as Frankenstrike[]
Benzarro's Frankenstrike looks identical to Ben Prime's Frankenstrike in Omniverse, except his skin is recolored to resemble Benzarro's and his eyes, conductors, bolts belt, sutures, and Zombitrix symbol are all colored purple.
Powers and Abilities[]
Frankenstrike has an electromagnetic body with two conductor coils on his back that allow him to generate and manipulate green[note 2] lightning and electromagnetism.[1] Frankenstrike can conduct electricity generated by his metallic conductor coils throughout his entire body. Using this ability, Frankenstrike can conduct electricity through his fists to give his attacks extra damage,[5] though he is unable to absorb or conduct electricity from external sources.[DJW 1]
Frankenstrike can emit his lightning in the form of waves that can travel along flat surfaces.[2] Frankenstrike can also shoot massive concentrated beams of electricity.[6]
Frankenstrike possesses enhanced strength, as he was able to punch through a Techadon robot and knock its arm off.[7] He is also strong enough to carry an Appoplexian over his shoulders.[4]
Frankenstrike is durable enough to withstand being blasted by one of Phil's electric blasts. Frankenstrike also has enhanced reflexes, as he was able to dodge the same blasts easily.[5]
Frankenstrike has enhanced jumping, as shown when he was able to jump and hold onto a high ladder when waiting to ambush Phil.[5]
Frankenstrike is quite fast, as demonstrated when Lightning Volt was able to keep up with Rath.[4]
Frankenstrike can survive in the vacuum of space.[1]
Frankenstrike is immune to the effects of Corrodium[merch 1] and can see in the dark.[DJW 2]
Frankenstrike is resistant against extreme heat, as demonstrated by Viktor.[8] Frankenstrike is also resistant to strong winds, as demonstrated when Frankenstrike was able to hold onto a space shuttle when Viktor opened up a portal to the Null Void.
Frankenstrike can emit magnetism from his hands or his feet, allowing him to attach to metal structures.[1]
Frankenstrike possesses technokinesis, as Viktor was able to control cables with his mind. Frankenstrike can also merge with technology, as demonstrated when Viktor plugged the aforementioned cables into himself.[9][1]
Weaknesses[]
The two generators on Frankenstrike's shoulders are the source of his electricity, which means opponents like Phil can absorb his electricity through them.[5]
Frankenstrike is unable to fit through small or tight spaces.[6][2]
Frankenstrike can be harmed by external electricity, as shown when Frankenstrike blasted Viktor with a charge strong enough to send him flying into a Null Void portal.[1] Rook and Scout also used tasers to incapacitate Viktor.[10]
Frankenstrike can be controlled and hypnotized by Vladats via their Corrupturas, as demonstrated by Viktor and many other Transylian residents of Anur Transyl.[11]
Frankenstrike can be frozen in ice, as demonstrated by Viktor.[8]
Frankenstrike can easily be scared by Toepick's species.[DJW 3]
History[]
Ben 10[]
- Frankenstrike first appeared in Be Afraid of the Dark, where he was added to the active playlist after the Omnitrix "sampled" Viktor's DNA.[note 1] Frankenstrike battled Zs'Skayr and the Mummy on the exterior of the space station and personally sent Viktor into an ill-created portal to the Null Void before it closed.
Ultimate Alien[]
- In Ben 10,000 Returns, Frankenstrike was re-unlocked by Ben 10,000.
Omniverse[]
- In Max's Monster, Frankenstrike fought and trapped Phil in the streets of Bellwood.
- In Something Zombozo This Way Comes, Frankenstrike fought some Zombie Clowns and defeated the Circus Freaks.

Benzarro's Timeline[]
- In And Then There Were None, Benzarro as Frankenstrike chased after No Watch Ben before Spidermonkey got the latter to safety.
- In And Then There Was Ben, Benzarro as Frankenstrike battled Vomit Man and Gwen 10 as Wildvine until he was sent back to his own timeline by No Watch Ben as Clockwork.

Etymology[]
His placeholder name, Benvicktor, is a combination of "Ben" and "Vicktor".
The name Frankenstrike is a combo of the name of Frankenstein, referencing his resemblance to Frankenstein's monster, and the word "strike", as in a lightning strike, which alludes to his electrokinetic abilities.
Trivia[]
- Frankenstrike's placeholder name "Benvicktor" was assigned to him by the credits for Be Afraid of the Dark and toys during the Original Series. Therefore, Frankenstrike is one of the four aliens whose working name had Ben's name in it, the other three being Blitzwolfer, Snare-oh, and Nanomech.
- Similar to Arctiguana, Snare-oh, Murk Upchuck, and Buzzshock, Frankenstrike appeared in Omniverse, but he did not appear in A New Dawn.
- Frankenstrike's voice has changed over the course of his appearances:
- In the Original Series, his voice sounded similar to Viktor's but with a metallic echo.
- In Omniverse, his voice sounds rather gravelly.
- Frankenstrike is one of five aliens featured in Omniverse who generate green electricity; the others being Upgrade, Buzzshock, Brainstorm, and Nanomech.
- Unlike the others, however, the color of Frankenstrike's bio-electricity discharge matches that of other Transylians.[pop-up 5][1]
- Frankenstrike's Original Series design was made by Thomas Perkins.[TP 2]
- Frankenstrike's appearance is based off of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein's monster.
- Thomas believes that Frankenstrike is capable of absorbing electricity.[TP 3]
- Thomas believes that the generators on Frankenstrike's back are the product of some sort of nanite symbiosis.[TP 4]
- Frankenstrike was considered to appear in the reboot but did not make the cut as an electric alien for Ben because Shock Rock was created for plot purposes.[DR 1]
Notes[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Originally, Dr. Viktor was the DNA source for Frankenstrike.[pop-up 1][1] This was later changed, as Transylian DNA was said to have already been present in the Omnitrix. Ben just misunderstood what the device was doing when it "sampled" Dr. Viktor's DNA.[DM 1][DM 2]
- ↑ Alternate versions of Frankenstrike are shown generating electricity in different colors. For example, Benzarro's Frankenstrike generates purple electricity[2][3] much like Viktor, and Lightning Volt's electricity is colored blue.[4]
- ↑ In the Original Series, Frankenstrike was considered to be Ben's second smartest alien.[pop-up 4][9] This was retconned in Omniverse, as hyper-intelligence is not a common trait among Transylians. Therefore, Ben does not become any smarter as Frankenstrike.[MW 1][DJW 4]
