Celestialsapiens are a race of immensely powerful reality warping beings[note 1] native to the Forge of Creation.
Appearance
Celestialsapiens are silhouette-like humanoids that can range from any size. Their bodies are black with white outlines and have white star-like dots scattered inside them. As of Omniverse, their heads can possess either a black flaming tip with stars inside, two long horns on the sides of their head, or three trident-like horns on their forehead. Their face only consists of white pupil-less eyes, but occasionally they can sport facial hair colored the same as their bodies such as a beard. Celestialsapiens tend to have a rather large size.
Infant Celestialsapiens have the body shape of a human baby, male Celestialsapiens have the body of a muscular male adult human, and female Celestialsapiens have the shape of a thin female adult human.
Behavior
Celestialsapiens' existence transcend that of all regular beings. They prefer living in the shrouded solitude of the Forge of Creation, as they are undisturbed by the "petty concerns and goings-on" of all the other life forms in the universe.[merch 2]
Celestialsapiens possess two personalities that are "sort of" part of their DNA,[DM 2] such as a Voice of Love and Compassion and a Voice of Rage and Aggression. Both of a Celestialsapien's personalities have to agree with each other for the Celestialsapien to perform any sort of action. However, due to their contrasting personalities, this hardly ever happens.[MW 1] When it does happen, it usually takes thousands of years.[DM 3] When the Celestialsapien speaks, both voices speak in unison and, depending on what the voices agree on, they say "Seconded!", or "Motion carried!" if they agree; they say "Motion denied!" if they disagree.[2]
Alien X is a somewhat unique case, as he has three personalities. In his case, at least two out of the three have to agree on any action, otherwise, Alien X will remain motionless. In Omniverse, all three personalities must agree.
Celestialsapiens develop multiple personalities over time. It is for this reason that Ultimate Aggregor tried to absorb the powers of a baby Celestialsapien rather than an adult - by doing so, he would gain the alien's tremendous power without the debilitating multiple personalities.[DM 4]
A few Celestialsapiens, such as Starbeard and the Galactic Gladiator, have personalities that are more decisive and in balance.
Celestialsapiens don't ever do anything fun. They spend all their time in unending debates, both in parliament and internally. Debates on a subject can last for eons, and even then end in stalemate or be set aside for later discussion.[DJW 1]
Celestialsapiens mostly spend time naked among themselves. They mostly will follow the rules of galactic social norms when outside their own space.[DJW 2]
Reproduction
A pregnant Celestialsapien has a small glowing white orb in her hands with a baby Celestialsapien growing inside it.[1]
It takes a baby Celestialsapien tens of thousands of years to develop.[DM 5]
Powers and Abilities
Celestialsapiens are the most powerful species in the universe, being capable of controlling reality, space and time. Their reality warping is seemingly without limit - a Celestialsapien can make their very thoughts become reality and survive anything up to (and including) the destruction of the entire universe around them. However, they have to follow rules that regulate the use of their powers, such as the Multiverse Preservation Act.[3] It is very dangerous to disturb them while debating as "they can just blink, and you'd be gone".[4][1]
Celestialsapiens are nearly invulnerable, as Alien X was completely unharmed when the Annihilarrgh destroyed the universe around him.[5] This is because the Annihilarrgh affected only the universe. As for Celestialsapiens, rather than being born out of the universe, they are entities separate from it.[1] Celestialsapiens are also capable of containing the explosion of an Annihilarrgh, demonstrated by Skurd when he used Alien X's DNA to create his arm for Ben's aliens to contain the big bang.[6]
Celestialsapiens can create and recreate an entire universe at will.[5]
Celestialsapiens can create time waves to reverse events in a specific area[2] and energy vortexes to suck in other beings such as another Celestialsapien.[3]
Celestialsapiens possesses telekinesis and mind control. They are also capable of deflecting energy attacks, such as those generated by a Prypiatosian-B.[7]
Celestialsapiens have the ability to shapeshift, teleport, generate force fields and alter their size; these feats were demonstrated by the Galactic Gladiator.[3] Celestialsapiens are also capable of self-duplication.[3]
Celestialsapiens can regenerate their limbs should they be severed,[DJW 3] as demonstrated by the Galactic Gladiator.[3]
Celestialsapiens can levitate and fly at high speeds.[1][3]
Celestialsapiens possesses superhuman strength and is skilled at hand-to-hand combat.[3]
Celestialsapiens can survive in the vacuum of space.[3] Additionally, their bodies are rigid, as no outside force except for other members of their species can make it move.[2][3]
Celestialsapiens are capable of effortlessly piercing through the Contumelia's extradimensional field.[6]
Celestialsapiens are capable of generating miniature black holes, as demonstrated by Atomic-X.[8]
Celestialsapiens can survive a timeline destruction.[DR 1]
Celestialsapiens possess X-ray vision, meaning they can see through objects such as a mountain.[DJW 3]
Weaknesses
In order for Celestialsapiens to perform any action, including simple movement, all of their personalities must agree to do so.[note 2] Given that said personalities generally contrast each other in every way, Celestialsapiens can spend eons debating before using any of their powers. A baby Celestialsapien does not have multiple personalities, but it is also not mature enough to use its power.
Celestialsapiens are vulnerable to having their powers absorbed by Osmosians[10][1] and entities with similar powers such as Darkstar.[11][12]
A Celestialsapien's life force can be drained by a Vladat.[DJW 4] He also cannot survive on Anur Vladias.[DJW 5]
A Celestialsapien actions onto reality can be neutralized and reversed by the intervention of other members of their species.[3][MoA 1]
Celestialsapiens cannot manipulate mana directly because they would first have to alter the universe to change the nature of mana.[MW 2]
A Celestialsapien's cosmic powers do not work well against magic and a magic spell could cancel their powers.[DJW 6][DJW 7]
A Celestialsapien's powers may either be limited to the basic cosmic laws of other universes or may not work depending on the universe.[DJW 8] It also depends on whether their internal astronomy is compatible enough with the universe they're in.[DJW 9]
A Celestialsapien can be devoured by a Gourmand, who would either digest them or spit them back out.[DJW 10]
Celestialsapiens can be affected by a Nemuina's sleeping dust.[DJW 11]
A Celestialsapien's personalities can be scared by Toepick's species.[DJW 12]

Trivia
- Professor Paradox is not allowed to go within 500 light-years of any Celestialsapien.[1]
- Celestialsapiens are apparently immortal, or at least extremely long-lived, as they can live for tens of thousands of years before even being considered "mature".[DM 5]
- Celestialsapiens also live in the Milky Way Galaxy, but they're born in the Forge of Creation.[DM 6]
- Celestialsapiens each have their own personalities; Bellicus and Serena are unique to Alien X.[MW 2]
- The Celestialsapiens were previously stated to spend most of their time debating,[1] but Omniverse establishes that they have actively partaken in other matters. For example, they are the reason behind the different art styles and appearances of the franchise.[13][3][9]
- However, the Celestialsapiens being responsible for the changes in art style across the franchise was just a joke.[DJW 13]

- ↑ 1.0 1.1 There has been much debate between fans as to if Celestialsapiens are to be considered omnipotent or nigh-omnipotent. Given that literally any thought of a Celestialsapien can be converted to reality, by definition Celestialsapiens are all-powerful and thus are omnipotent. Furthermore, Celestialsapiens have been stated to be omnipotent by Azmuth and Professor Paradox[1], as well as by crew members such as Dwayne McDuffie[DM 1] and Matt Wayne.[MW 1] While their physical forms do have weaknesses, they can be eliminated at any moment by a resolution of their personalities. Their actions being reverted by other Celestialsapiens, and them being harmed because of the time it takes for the personalities to agree to defend themselves is a practical limitation on Celestialsapiens. In theory, they have all possible power, as there is no thought that cannot be converted into reality. Yet, due to the aforementioned limitations some consider them to be nigh-omnipotent. The discretion is left to the reader to decide which category to put Celestialsapiens in.
- ↑ In Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, Ben served as the tiebreaker for Alien X's personalities. If two of the personalities agreed on something, the motion was carried.[2] This has been altered in Omniverse, as all three personalities must agree.[5][9]
