Root Sharks are a worm-like species native to Aranhascimma and a natural predator of Arachnichimps.
Appearance[]
Root Sharks resemble gigantic snakes or worms, with a shark-like face. Their face, dorsal fin, and 6 red eyes are covered by a rocky exoskeleton.
Behavior[]
Root Sharks swim through the green bodies of water on the floor of Aranhascimma, and are attracted to activity in the layers of treetops above.[1] If they detect prey, they will attempt to leap up and swallow them in one bite.[2]
Diet[]
Root Sharks prey primarily on Arachnichimps, as they are reputedly the most delicious creature on the planet;[merch 1] as well as other native inhabitants of Aranhascimma.

In Simian Says, Root Sharks were one of the predators stalking and attacking the possessed Arachnichimps in the treetops above.
Powers and Abilities[]
Root Sharks have sharp teeth, which can bite through solid rock.[2] Presumably, they can bite through Arachnichimp webs.
Root Sharks can breath underwater. In addition, they are powerful swimmers, and can leap many feet out of the water.[2]
