Plot[]
This section needs expansion. You can help by adding information. |
A pair of rogue Plumbers, human/alien hybrids, a female Kineceleran named Helen and a male Tetramand named Manny are hunting DNAliens, as well as other aliens, thinking all of them are evil. They attack the aliens and use what they believe is a giant disintegrator ray, which is actually a Null Void Projector. When they encounter Ben, Gwen and Kevin they attack them, and while Ben transforms into Big Chill and saves Gwen, Kevin gets kidnapped for questioning, as Helen isn't sure the group is dangerous.
Thanks to her powers, Gwen locates Kevin and she and Ben set out to rescue him. Meanwhile, Helen and Manny use a database created by Helen's brother Pierce to try and find out what species Kevin belongs to, as they think he's an alien. During the rescue, Ben gets thrown into the Null Void but manages to escape after transforming into Swampfire.
After that, the two sides work things out and after looking at a database of the aliens they captured and put into the Null Void, Ben realizes that some of them may have been Plumber kids. To make things right, Helen and Manny set out into the Null Void to rescue those they wrongfully imprisoned, and Kevin takes some of their equipment when they leave, much to Ben and Gwen's dismay.

Continuity[]
Allusions[]
- The Pyronite, Vulpimancer, Lepidopterran, Arburian Pelarota and Piscciss Volann featured in the recording shown by Helen resemble Heatblast, Wildmutt, Stinkfly, Cannonbolt and Ripjaws' appearances in the Original Series. Meanwhile, the Galvanic Mechamorph resembles Baz-l while the Ectonurite resembles Zs'Skayr's complete form in Be Afraid of the Dark.
- The images are actually edited versions of the models for Heatblast, Wildmutt, Stinkfly, Cannonbolt, Ripjaws, Upgrade and Zs'Skayr from the Original Series.
Errors[]
- In several shots when Manny and Helen are driving, one of Manny's blasters is missing.
- In the first image of the trio that Manny and Helen look at, Gwen is too tall and is standing away from Ben and Kevin, who are also both looking at her.
- In the next image, Gwen is closer to Ben and Kevin, but the cuffs on her sleeves are blue instead of white. Also, in the same shot, Ben is drawn at a different angle, Gwen's pose is slightly changed, and all three of them are looking at Manny and Helen as if facing them.
- Pierce pronounces "Piscciss Volann" as "Pis-kiss Volann".
- After Manny knocks Kevin out with his blasters, the lines on Helen's face are drawn incorrectly.
- When Kevin is knocked out, he lies at the bottom of the containment sphere he's in. When the episode cuts back to him later, he is floating.
- When Gwen is attacked by Helen, there is an extra frame of her.
- When Helen is next to Manny, the catcher pole appears in her hand, despite it not being visible in the previous shot.
- Before Ben comes out of the Null Void portal, Manny's back is drawn incorrectly.
- When Manny is shooting at Swampfire, his fingers don't move to pull the trigger of his blasters.
- The Arburian Pelarota on Pierce's recording only appears for one frame.
- When Ben gives back Helen the device, the Galvanic Mechamorph looks exactly like Upgrade from the Original Series.
Trivia[]
- The episode's title is listed as Plumber's Helpers on the Ben 10 Alien Force: Volume 3 DVD and the Cartoon Network website.
- In the recording Helen watches, Pierce mentions the date August 10th.
- When Kevin said "I taught him that" after Swampfire escaped the Null Void, he was referring to the way he escaped the Null Void himself.[DM 1]
Notes[]
- ↑ The original synopsis provided on the Cartoon Network website erroneously reads: "Manny and Helen are a rogue team of young plumbers trying to track down aliens. When they mistake Ben and his team for dangerous aliens, they end up kidnapping Kevin. Ben and Gwen need to track them down."[CN 1]
