Bellwood is a city in the United States of America, and is the main setting for Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and Omniverse. It is the hometown of the Tennyson Family and various members of the Plumbers.
Population[]
Prime Timeline[]
Bellwood's population is approximately 20,000.[DM 1]
Race Against Time Timeline[]
Bellwood's population is 26,000 and counting.[1]
Climate[]
Not much has been revealed about the climate of Bellwood, though it most likely has a coast-side climate, as it has always been warm enough outside for characters to not need to overdress.
In Bellwood, winters appear to lack snow.[2]
Education System[]
Schools[]
Madison Elementary School is one of Bellwood's elementary schools[3][merch 1] and there are only two known high schools.[4][5] It is unknown how many middle schools and colleges there are. It also also unknown if they are more elementary schools besides Madison.
History[]
Bellwood was founded in 1638 by a group of Sámi people. Its English name is derived from the bell that was built to commemorate its founding. Hand-carved from walnut timber and weighing over 3,000 lbs., it is the world's largest wooden sleigh bell.[6]
At some point between the events of Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens and The Ultimate Enemy: Part 2 (based on conflicting statements),[note 1] various alien species came to Earth and formed a secret town underneath the city called Undertown.
Undertown's existence was revealed to the citizens of Bellwood in The Frogs of War: Part 1, as Undertown's citizens were evacuating in search of a new home. In The Frogs of War: Part 2, the residents of Undertown return to fight off the Incurseans and work with the humans side-by-side, stating that they'll work on coexisting together in Bellwood.

Trivia[]
- Bellwood is 26 miles away from Grover's Mill, Alan's hometown.[38]
- A different version of Bellwood exists in the Generator Rex Universe.[39][STS 1]
- Bellwood in Mad Ben's Dimension has been renamed "Benwood".[15]
- In Alien Force, the crew were told that Bellwood was supposed to be a small city in the Southwest, but the needs of telling a story have made it more generic.[MW 2] It is located in a state where a 16-year-old can get a valid driving license,[DM 2] though its exact location was never specified.[DM 3]
- In the Race Against Time Timeline, Bellwood is known as "The Most Normal Town in America".
- In Race Against Time, Punch Time Explosion, and Punch Time Explosion XL, Bellwood's local newspaper is called 'The Bellwood Bugle'.
- This references The Daily Bugle, the popular newspaper in Marvel comics.
- Pugsley Boulevard and Klein Avenue references Thomas Pugsley and Greg Klein, a scriptwriting duo on the Original Series.
Notes[]
- ↑ When asked about Undertown's origins, the crew had differing views:
- According to Derrick J. Wyatt, Undertown was created after Way Big's fight against Evil Way Big in Destroy All Aliens destroyed a large section of Bellwood. Alien workers were brought in to rebuild the city and these workers built a small camp underneath Bellwood that grew to the size of a city over the course of a few years.[DJW 1][DJW 2]
- According to Matt Wayne, Undertown is a recent settlement that was built because the events of The Ultimate Enemy: Part 2 may have made Earth more attractive to aliens.[MW 1]
