Characters that have been genetically altered from the norm of their species, often drastically so. Many have recurred during the process of the series, and the vast majority have been the outcome of DNA experiments made by Aloysius James Animo. In other cases, a few have been created by chemical processes, such as with Corrodium, or by technological means.

Trivia

• The only known race that can mutate of its volition and with a degree of control is the Osmosians, though their mutations can also be involuntary. They can absorb various amounts DNA, as well as inorganic materials, to assume different forms, and their mutations can retain their ability to reason and think, though madness is often induced.
