Ben 10 Wiki

Suggestions are a group-oriented way of making decisions. On Ben 10 Planet, suggestions are made on user blogs.

Any editor can make a proposal, whether it's a change of policy, addition of new features, or changes to the appearance of the wiki. They must explain their argument in favor of it.

Other members of the community then will be able to debate the proposal and comment on it. They can Support or Oppose the changes (or remain Neutral), explaining their position. A week after an announcement is made for the suggestion, an admin or bureaucrat will determine the result, close the blog, and implement the suggestion if it is successful.

Guidelines For Proposers

  • All suggestions require the Suggestions template.
  • When creating a suggestion, make sure you clearly explain what that change is, the benefits it will bring, and any other information relevant to the topic.
  • If you come to disagree with your suggestion and wish to make amendments to your proposal, ask an admin to close the blog, and make a new one. Editing your original suggestion is not allowed.

Forbidden Suggestion Topics

The following topics cannot be discussed on suggestion blogs:

  • Anything which does not concern the wiki itself, such as its Discord server. If you have a suggestion for improvement regarding the server, post it on the #suggestions channel and the admins will discuss whether your idea is beneficial.
  • Suggestions which would conflict with the wiki's main philosophy, including but not limited to:
    • Allowing speculation/headcanons on articles
    • Allowing fan art
  • Promoting users to mod or admin. The wiki currently has enough admins and content moderators, and the Discord server has enough chat mods. If there are vacancies, the admins will discuss who to promote and contact the user(s) in question to confirm their interest. Suggestions to promote mods or admins to a higher position is also not allowed.
  • Suggestions to reverse a decision made in a previous suggestion less than three years from the announcement of the results. This time limit can be ignored in light of new evidence, for Ben 10 lore-related matters.
    • Suggestions approved twice in a row (approved the first time, then a reversal is rejected the second time) cannot be re-discussed unless there is new evidence, as above.
  • Suggestions to change the voting requirements.
  • Suggestions that go against Fandom policies or U.S. law.
  • Suggestions to allow prohibited suggestion topics. You can contact an admin if you truly feel that a suggestion topic should be allowed, but we cannot guarantee anything.

Guidelines For Voters

  • Give reasons for your support or opposition. A well-thought out oppose with evidence and arguments can often be more important than a bunch of supports.
  • Feel free to debate with others on the blog but keep the conversations civil.
  • Please make sure that you review the requirements before voting. This wiki requires that you contribute for at least seven days of activity with at least 15 mainspace quality edits (excluding minor edits) to vote. Quality edits are edits that are not destructive, rule-breaking, or were immediately reverted. We also require that you make at least five contributions (edits) within the past two months to vote.

Guidelines For the Closer

  • If a majority of votes are neutral, the admins will decide whether or not to implement the suggestion.
