This page serves as a guide on what images are and aren't allowed.

General Guidelines

  • All images must be from official Cartoon Network media (shows, games, toys, etc.) or cast and crew members and must be related to the Ben 10 franchise. Exceptions can be made in the case of non-Ben 10 elements featured in crossovers, such as Rex Salazar.
  • All images should be of the highest quality possible.
  • The PNG file extension is the only one allowed, as the PNG extension makes it so any image has its original quality in all areas of the wiki. Uploading an image that doesn't have a PNG extension will result in a warning and later, a block if it escalates. You can use conversion software to convert non-PNG images to PNG.
  • File names should be relevant to what is displayed in the image.
  • Add the relevant category to the image.
  • Images with official watermarks are allowed, but it would be preferable to have versions without watermarks.
  • Uploading official images with unofficial/unlicensed watermarks is grounds for a warning. The same applies to fan art.

Official Images

The following images are examples of high-quality official images.

In some cases, images with backgrounds may need their backgrounds removed, most commonly to add to galleries. Ensure that the outline of the subject is kept intact while no remnants of the background remain.

Screenshots

All screenshots should have a 16:9 aspect ratio and preferably be 1080p. 4:3 images in good quality are allowed if there are no 16:9 versions, such as screenshots of pop-up trivia. Ensure that screenshots are not discolored in comparison to the actual episodes. Screenshots should not contain watermarks, official or otherwise, and should not be tampered with.

Combining or stitching multiple screenshots together to fit in one image is not allowed, unless the screenshots are that of a panning shot.

These images are examples of what the wiki considers to be bad, mediocre, and good quality images.

Renders

Renders made from screenshots of episodes or from gameplays are not allowed and will be deleted. Here are the examples below.

Photos

Photos are allowed to be uploaded temporarily as long as the image helps the wiki. They must be deleted as soon as proper images are available.

Photos of the cast and crew are welcome. However, be aware that some photos may be copyrighted. Stay on the side of caution and only upload free-use photos of cast and crew members.

Crew Statements

The wiki commonly cites statements from crew members in the form of screenshots. To add a crew statement to the wiki, take a screenshot of the original question (if applicable), along with the crew member's response. Ideally, both the question and answer should fit in one image. Add a link to an archived version of the original statement (from Archive.is or the Wayback Machine) in the "Caption" field when uploading the image. It should be stressed that the name of the file should be as objective as possible. Users should not exaggerate or dramatize what was stated by the crew member.

Add the "Crew Statements" category to the image. If the crew member has a category specifically for their statements, add that category as well.

Fan Art

Fan art is prohibited and will be deleted. Sprites and other color edited art are examples of fan art and are not permitted.

Fan art made by crew members are to be in the appropriate section of the relevant galleries and not appear anywhere else on the wiki without a disclaimer.

Warning

Any user who uploads an image that is deemed not kid-friendly, gross, offensive, vulgar or any type of adult material not for kids will be blocked indefinitely with little to no prior warning.
